Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has come up in trade rumors
The Golden State Warriors have typically not been a very active team at the trade deadline throughout their dynasty. Currently sitting at 18-22, that’s expected to change this season for the Warriors, as they will almost certainly make moves in order to reshape what has proven to be a poor roster.
Speaking during a recent episode of his podcast, Warriors forward Draymond Green reacted to seeing his name come up in different trade rumors, and shared his thoughts on how the Warriors may approach the deadline.
“There’s been a lot of trade rumors,” Green said. “I know my name has come up, I know everyone’s name has come up except for Steph Curry. To be honest, I have not thought about it one bit… I mean if you’re 18-22, how can you question anything someone does? We’ve never really been an active team at the trade deadline… However, we also have a new GM, and Mike [Dunleavy] has been incredible, by the way. He could work differently than Bob [Myers], he could be more aggressive at the trade deadline than Bob. I don’t know, I don’t really have a feel for it… Do I think I’ll be traded? I hope not.”
It does seem unlikely that Green would be traded, despite the Warriors reportedly being open to listening to offers on anyone outside of Curry.
