Jimmy Butler is very good at basketball. Not only does he play it professionally for the Miami Heat, but he’s one of the best in the business.
His five All-NBA nods and six All-Star Game appearances would confirm that.
Interestingly enough, though, it seems as if Butler is looking to venture into another arena. Rather than basketballs and Nike shoes, though, this one will have cowboy hats and boots with the spurs.
In an interview with “The Guardian”, Butler revealed that he’s been writing country music songs in his downtime. So many, in fact, that he’s got enough to release an album.
More than enough …
Claire de Lune revealed in the feature on Butler that the NBA star has put together about 60 songs for his debut album, but interestingly enough, he’s not planning on signing on it.
I’m like the DJ Khaled of this thing,” Butler said. “He’s a crazy talented individual. To bring all these artists together and to have them be able to maintain the egos and be like, ‘Yo, look, this is what we’re trying to get done here,’ he’s mastered it. I freaking love DJ Khaled. ‘We are the best,’ as he would say.”
Butler may be “the best” at being multifaceted. He also owns a growing coffee company and clearly has many talents as well as interests.
Unfortunately, the one thing that has eluded Butler has been an NBA championship. He’s been “the guy” on many good teams and his Heat have been in the finals two times in the past four seasons.
Butler — the future country music sensation — has yet to win a ring, though.
